RECOMMENDATIONS

Sleep: Put 2-4 drops in an aromatic diffuser with fresh spring water at night to aid sleep as well as support pleasant dreams. Make sure the diffuser can run all night to avoid burning it out.

Add 2 drops to a spritzer/spray bottle containing spring water, and spray it on a pillow at night about 5 minutes prior to sleep as well. Keep plastic bottle out of the light so the plastic doesn't leech into the fragrant water.

For women, spraying on the hair and/or on the face during the day could aid stress reduction. Men can spritz their faces as well, if desired.

Work: Put 2-4 drops in a diffuser when working during the day to calm mind and nerves from overwork and overwhelm. This is useful to people who work mostly from home. Certain people cannot tolerate fragrance in the workplace, so this may be best used in home offices.

For a particularly stressful day at the office and/or home office, place one drop in the palms, rub them together and inhale 9 times*, or in multiples of 9 with a break in between. This can be done when taking a break for a cup of tea, and one can return to work feeling calmer and focused with greater ease.

Massage: Put 2-4 drops in a 12-16 oz. bottle of carrier oil, preferably rose hip seed oil. Good for those suffering from inflammation, rheumatism, spasms and skin eruptions (dermatitis, eczema) due to its analgesic properties. Can act as an anti-depressant, help lift irritability associated with the above.

For women, may also be used for symptoms of PMS and menopause to induce a positive sense of well being.

May also be used specifically on the abdomen to support treatment of indigestion, neuralgia, bloating, splenetic activity and colitis while calming the related areas. If used for potential alleviation of these symptoms, then drinking more water is highly recommended, as this oil produces a diuretic effect. Also because such usage on these areas could stir toxins in the body, greater hydration helps eliminate toxins in general.

Ears: For those with excessive ear wax and persistent mild earaches, a q-tip can be dipped in a small bottle of rose hip carrier oil combined with 1-2 drops of this oil for support after ear wax removal and for minor ear aches. It is not recommended using the oil itself directly.

Bath: After pouring a very warm bath, put 3-5 drops of this oil in after the tub is full, and relax for at least 20 minutes. Acts as an anti-depressant and sedative after a long day.

Teeth: For toothaches, dip a toothpick in a very minor amount of oil in the palm of your hand, and gently insert between the teeth. The taste is enjoyable. In particular, we recommend using 'The Doctor's BrushPicks', which are interdental toothpicks, instead of wooden toothpicks. You can use the remaining oil in your hand to apply to your toothpaste for further alleviation of symptoms, or rub the palms together and do the 9 inhalations series* for relaxing mind and emotions.

*NINE INHALATIONS SERIES: Place one drop in the palms and rub together for several seconds. Cup the palms over the nose and inhale. Remove the palms when ready to exhale. Do not exhale into the palms containing the oil. Do this in a steady, rhythmic manner nine times, or in multiples of nine.
